Description

Do you feel like you are too nice? Sherry Argov's Why Men Love Bitches delivers a unique perspective as to why men are attracted to a strong woman who stands up for herself. With saucy detail on every page, this no-nonsense guide reveals why a strong woman is much more desirable than a "yes woman" who routinely sacrifices herself. The author provides compelling answers to the tough questions women often ask:

· Why are men so romantic in the beginning and why do they change?
· Why do men take nice girls for granted?
· Why does a man respect a woman when she stands up for herself?

Full of advice, hilarious real-life relationship scenarios, "she says/he thinks" tables, and the author's unique "Attraction Principles," Why Men Love Bitches gives you bottom-line answers. It helps you know who you are, stand your ground, and relate to men on a whole new level. Once you've discovered the feisty attitude men find so magnetic, you'll not only increase the romantic chemistry—you'll gain your man's love and respect with far less effort.

I’m a classic “nice girl” and I’m just constantly “too nice” about things. This has lead me to have many problems in my relationships. I have boundaries but once a guy crosses a line I never know how to correctly reinforce my boundaries. This results in me becoming weaker and weaker until the guy just loses respect for me and it snowballs from there. The worse things get, the more I try to do and the nicer I try to become. I scramble to try to get things like how they were in the beginning of the relationship and to try to get the affection, attention, and respect that I deserve, but with all my scrambling I just push the guy away even more. This book taught me a lot about how to act toward and react to men. I wish that I had read this book years ago and I can only hope that I can implement what I’ve learned from now on and not fall back into old patterns. The book is very redundant but it’s kind of good to get this stuff repeatedly rammed into my head lol. A lot of things that the author says is very gender roley which I don’t typically like, but it was still very helpful. This book was a quick read, I finished it in just a few days. I think somethings you can take with a grain of salt but the main lessons and ideas from this book are extremely helpful. I recommend this book to every woman!

As a millennial reading this in 2020, honestly i don’t agree with every point in this book. That said, the overall message is important and something worth reflecting on.

Some of the themes and ideas on how women should act are a little dated but overall great info and very entertaining!
  • Good Info, That’s About It

I wrote a whole review and accidentally exited before sending and it’s not worth it to rewrite the whole thing so I’ll just summarize by saying: It had some good info, if you genuinely are new to dating and want insight on why men act the way they do this is pretty on point. Take the information on how you should act as a woman with a grain of salt. Specifically the “Dumb Fox” chapter. There are a lot of things I disagree with in this book, but that entire chapter is most of them. With regards to the male psyche it’s pretty spot on, but what that means for you as a woman is up to you and this is just one woman’s opinion. And not a very forward thinking one. Just tread carefully and don’t be afraid to disagree. I say give it a read, but if you read something and that voice in your head just goes, “Um, no” then just cross it out. Only way I could get through it was by making some edits.
